Baby; A Joyful Dating App for Single Parents

In the course User Experience Design, I researched and designed a prototype for a dating app intended for single parents, who often lead complicated dating lives per their status as both single people and parents. The project spanned one semester, with the first four weeks dedicated to surveys and competitive analysis, followed by four weeks of design and prototyping. At the conclusion of the semester, I presented a digital product that attempted to ease the complex dating experience single parents endure.

High Tea; A Spunky Take on a Tea Brand

In the course Design Studio, I designed and developed a brand identity for a conceptual wellness tea brand. I created a comprehensive identity that included a distinct personality, strong aesthetics, logos, color palettes, typography, merchandise and advertising concepts. This project truly embraced every aspect of the design process, as over an entire semester, I consistently engaged in brainstorming, research, critiques, and further refinement until I reached a final product. The final product showcases a cohesive and visually appealing brand identity that communicates the core values and mission of the brand. Through iterative design and continuous feedback, I honed my skills in graphic design, typography, and branding.

The Main Character Podcast

As Co-Founder and Head of Brand Management and Content, I co-produce The Main Character Podcast with my best friend, a fellow NYU graduate. It began as a passion project that aired on NYU’s student-run radio station, WNYU, in the tri-state area. Since then, it has been transformed into an entrepreneurial pursuit! I create and oversee all branding assets, from logo design to social media. Our podcast focuses on the experiences of Black women and women of color, aiming to increase visibility and foster community. It airs every Friday at 5 PM EST on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, so be sure to check it out!

Master Modeling: ZBrush Sculpting

In the course, Digital Art 1, I digitally sculpted and rendered a recreation of artist Jeff Koons' Pink Panther (1988) sculpture. Currently featured at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), I created this piece using the industry standard 3D modeling software ZBrush, and Photoshop. This assignment proved challenging as I was tasked to create a copy of an artistic master's work, and had no prior experience with ZBrush. To combat these challenges, I conducted a compendium of research and dedicated a considerable amount of time to teaching myself the software. I concluded this project by consulting with the 3D Printing Center at my school to print my model in nylon plastic. Ultimately, I presented my work as a midterm project, deepened my interest in technology, and reveled in being able to learn something new.

BSU Merchandise

As President of Black Student Union at NYU, I designed merchandise to distribute to the student body and build community. In coordination with my executive board, I incorporated the BSU logo and attempted to create a design that centered unity and diversity. I also considered making the design simple and easily transferable, as I was working under limited time constraints. I worked with my team to have the design printed on sweatshirts, tote bags, and stickers. It created a great sense of community when students around campus would wear the products!
